I realise that many of you on the Autistic Spectrum struggle from day to day life. Sometimes things can look rather bleak. But this page is designed to make struggles relating to this condition feel less hard. You have to believe that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. There's always a way to get through bad events in your life. I'm hoping this page is of help to individuals going through hard times in their lives. I'm sure even non AS people will find these quotes and verses I'm compiling on here helpful. Well hope you find comfort. Stay strong all.
Sometimes people come into your life and you know that they were meant to be there.
They serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson or help figure out who you are or who you want to become.
You never know who these people may be; your neighbour, professor, long lost friend, lover or even a complete stranger who, when you lock eyes with them, you know that very moment, that they will affect your life in some profound way.
And sometimes things happen to you and at the time they seem horrible, painful and unfair, but in reflection, you realise that without overcoming those obstacles you would never have realised your potential, strength, will power of heart.
Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of good or bad luck, illness, injury, love, lost moments or true greatness and sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of the soul.
Without these small tests, if they be events, illnesses or relationships, life would be like a smooth paved, straight, flat road to nowhere. Safe and comfortable but dull and utterly pointless.
The people you meet who affect your life and successes and downfalls you experience, they are the ones who create who you are.
Even the bad experience can be learned from. Those lessons are the hardest and probably the most important ones.
If someone hurts you, betrays you, or breaks your heart, forgive them, for they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious to whom you open your heart.
If someone loves you, love them back unconditionally, not only because they love you, but because they are teaching you to love and opening your heart and eyes to things you would have never seen or felt without them.
Make every day count. Appreciate every moment and take from it everything that you possibly can, for you may never be able to experience it again.
Talk to people you have never talked to before, and actually listen, let yourself fall in love, break free and set your sights high.
You can make of your life anything you wish.
Create your own life and then go out and live it.
I wish you all the best in your endeavours as well as struggles in life.
Have a fighting spirit and never hesitate to get back in the saddle!

Sometimes we focus on the destination of our life rather than the journey. We have to take that journey before we can get to that destination. This is why most of us fail several times before we finally make it. We attempt to do huge steps all at once. When doing it that way is just setting ourselves up to fail. If we focus more on the journey than the destination, then we are more likely to get to where we want to be in life. Face one issue at a time. That is the only way to achieve change and reach our goals in life. If we focus on too many things at once. Then we will burn ourselves out and have no energy left to get to the destination. Our lives are made up of several chapters. Things continually change all the time. There's no way of knowing what may happen sometimes. Sometimes you have to make changes in order to go in a positive direction. Regardless of what happens, try to make the best of every situation. It's not easy if things aren't going right. But hold on to every single positive aspect to help get through the awful times in life. Tomorrow could bring anything. It may change things forever. Coping with the unexpected it is hard to master, but it is possible. Remain strong on the outside every day, even if inside you're upset with whatever is going on. Put on a smile :) Even if it's hard sometimes. Smiling builds a defense to the outside world and the internal emotions that we must not show to anyone unless they are in a close relationship with us. Always keep the barriers up to the outside world. Trust has to be earned, not given freely to individuals who we barely know. They will judge us or hurt us in some way if the barriers are let down. It's important to protect ourselves, but we still need to be pleasant and loving towards others. Live, Love and take every opportunity that feels meant to be. Do not let a label of any condition define who you are. You are a person, not a set of symptoms. We need to remember that throughout our lives.
