Hi, Does anyone reading this missive feel a little overwhelmed by the Christmas experience? Personally I struggle with things being different in the house and my normal routines disrupted. I have always found New Year an anxious time but now I have learnt more about my condition I and others now understand why. James

I bloody hate christmas for some reason. It's about people being happy and together. I'm just not into all that. I don't feel it.

xmas as a sentiment leaves me cold, it's not very real, and morally I prefer everyone to be serious minded about all the evils in the world hence perpetually unhappy as a stand of solidarity with all suffering. I prefer to think of the winter solstice than xmas. The trees are really solstice trees, whose northernness I like. but the tradition of making personal greetings at this winter solstice time of year, and the cards ritual, has been valuable to me with folks who I am in tenuous touch with, for keeping in touch at all, when it could otherwise easily just peter out by both sides fearing being a pest and never finding anything to say.
